When it was finally 6am, we started making our way through the Florentine streets in search of Alekin Hostel. Checked in, marked out the places of interest and had breakfast before beginning our self guided tour around the city. After phototaking at Piazza San Giovanni, we headed to Mercanto Centrale near Lorenzo for some flea market shopping. Lots of leather goods, murano glass, masquerade masks and other assorted memoribilla.
Had lunch at a middle eastern eatery, where wl and I actually fell asleep waiting for a to finish eating. Found the not-that-great-looking "Academy", had gelato and it was on to San Marco before grocery shopping for our mini private Halloween party at Alekin. It consisted basically of junk food, daidee and the asshole having to wear a free cap that came along with the Pringles. Haha.
