Day trip to Aachen was fun!
Had band for a couple of hours in the morning before we boarded a bus for Aachen. Finally, a reunion with t and n who were at the other guesthouse. In an hour, we had zipped unknowingly into Germany. After alighting, we spent about 20 minutes walking to the restaurant where we were going to have our buffet lunch.
Never have I seen a restaurant offer almost it's entire menu as a buffet. Pasta to pizza. Mexican to Italian. The pizza was definitely much better. Pasta had too much peas for one. Wide range but insufficient stomach capacity.
After lunch, we had a guided tour of serveral touristy attractions. Nice, detailed tour guide showed us the artifacts stored in the treasury which apparently attracts pilgrims from all over the world despite doubts of its authenticity. Then about the demon story at the Wolves doors and Charlemagne's throne at Aachen Cathedral.
After the tour, we were given time to roam around the area. Had a 60cents eur ice cream which was nice! E and j then led the whole group of us to find their 2eur mugs. After getting them we wandered the alleys and found a large space where we began our series of unglam videos and multi-shot photographs before it was time to gather back at the fountain.
Attire hasn't been settled. Cultural night is tomorrow. I still can't believe I did such a dumb thing of not packing my black attire in.
